We have skin types and colours, concerns and goals, and some habits that are not skin-friendly – all of which impacts the way our skin behaves, reacts or ages. And with endless treatment and skincare options out there, understanding and finding the right plan can be a little bit of a minefield.

If you have mild skin or you’d like to feel more confident in your skin but you’re unsure where to start, a free personalised skin consultation with a specialist or nurse at sk:n can help you gain a deeper of your skin, and which and skincare programmes will get you to the best skin of your life.

What happens in the skin consultation

Our aim is to find out what you love and don’t love about your skin, if you have any particular skin  and what your skin goals are. We  that with a full skin examination and assessment, so we can create the right treatment and skincare plan for you.

During your consultation, we’ll remove makeup or from so we can fully examine your skin, including assessing the texture, thickness and colour which could concerns such as acne or . Your skin will also be examined under a skin scanner, which can indicate if your skin is healthy, dehydrated, oily, congested or has sun damage. We will take your before photos, so you can see your progress throughout your treatment plan.

Book a General skin analysis and consultation skin with a specialist nurse or . Ideal for those with mild to skin mild acne, congested skin, open pores, pigmentation, dull skin and mild signs of ageing, or for those who are simply just unsure where to start. Your skin will be fully examined for a number of skin concerns, your skin goals will be assessed, and your personalised  plan will be . If you have more pronounced skin concerns that require a doctor or , we may refer you, and can also refer you to a nurse or doctor for .

To secure an appointment, we will a . Your credit or debit card will be secured against your booking. For or Nurse consultations we take a fully refundable (subject to terms) of £25 and £50 for Doctor led . Please refer to our for more information.

Your skin consultation lasts around minutes. This will allow the practitioner to fully assess your skin and your skin goals, your concerns and create a recommended treatment plan.

The is completely free, but we do require a £25 to secure your consultation. You won’t be if you attend your appointment, or you cancel or move your over 48 hours before your in line with our  policy.​

The cost of your and/or skincare plan will be confirmed during your consultation, but can start from £59, on your clinic.

Your consultation will be with one of our experienced specialist nurses or practitioners with extensive of the skin. Should you have a more severe skin concern, they can also refer you into a doctor or  if you need to see one. Please note these with a doctor or dermatologist are chargeable and do require a refundable* deposit – please check the consultation price before booking. We can also refer you to a doctor or nurse for an  consultation if you are concerned about the signs of ageing. These consultations are free, but we do require a refundable* £50 deposit to secure your booking. Please check our  for more information.

We will ask you to come makeup free, but feel free to bring some with you to put on after the consultation if you wish.

Our expert skin practitioners will ask a variety of questions which are designed to help them create the best plan of action to tackle your skin concern. For example:

You can wear makeup to your appointment, however, we recommend that you come makeup free so that we can spend the maximum amount of time your skin. We cannot fully examine your skin with makeup on as we need to assess the texture, and colour which could indicate such as acne or .
