What is Botox and how does it work?
Botox (botulinum toxin) is a neurotoxin popularly known as a cosmetic treatment due to its effectiveness in reducing . However, it can also treat some medical conditions including chronic migraines, excessive muscle contractions (dystonia), or excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).
Masseter Botox injections work by obstructing the nerve signals temporarily to help relax the muscles, reducing facial pain, clenching, and tension in the jaw muscles.
