Your sole objective is to protect that X-Bow at all costs; if it locks onto the enemy tower for even five seconds, the game is practically won.
You use these cheap troops as meat shields, physically blocking enemy tanks and assassins from ever touching your precious artillery.
- Never play your X-Bow if you don’t have the elixir to protect it.
- Pre-place defensive buildings (like a Tesla) before playing the X-Bow.
- Always know the opponent’s ‘tank’ cycle.
The Mortar vs. The X-Bow
X-Bow decks are usually built around fast cycling, aiming to out-pace the opponent’s heavy tanks so the X-Bow has a clear line of sight.
