Our private GP appointments start by booking via our clinic’s website, phone, or email. You will need to provide your personal information, skin or cosmetic problems and concerns. Our administrative team will help you arrange your preferred schedule with our GP.
Your private GP will evaluate your medical history, ask questions, and do physical examinations during your consultation. A diagnosis and treatment options will be provided after a thorough evaluation. Payment can be settled before or after your consultation, depending on how it was conducted (online or face-to-face consultation). More sessions may be scheduled as needed.
How do I book a private GP appointment?
You may contact our clinic via phone at or email us at if you want to book a private GP appointment.
You may request a particular general practitioner of your choice. Our admin team will arrange your preferred schedule. You can make an appointment between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, depending on availability.

What video options do I have for online consultation?
You may use different video options for your online consultations. You can use WhatsApp if you are an Android phone user and FaceTime if you are an iPhone user. Zoom video conferencing can be used if you are using a desktop or laptop.
30 minutes or more is the usual timetable for a private general appointment wherein you have to disclose your medical issues and concerns with our qualified and well-experienced GP residents.

What GP timeslots are available?
Getting medical advice after office hours is another advantage of booking an appointment with a private GP. Our office, Harley Street Skin Clinic accepts appointments from 9;00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday. You may book your private GP in advance to secure your preferred time slot.
Yes, you can get a second opinion from a private GP if you are not satisfied with a diagnosis or recommended treatments from your previous doctor. By doing this, you may have more knowledge about your treatments and can decide on more options.
Can I get prescriptions during my private GP schedule?
Your private GP can issue a prescription if you need medication for your health problems. Prescribed medicine may issued for cosmetic procedures or skin disease treatments.
The NHS GP focuses only on medical problems linked to skin diseases like acne or scars. It only recommends treatments when it is medically necessary. Pure aesthetic treatments like face and body cosmetic surgery are not typically covered by the NHS GP.
On the other hand, private doctors can be consulted on a variety of cosmetic concerns. They can also refer patients to the specialists as needed. A private GP is more flexible and easy to access. A private GP is more costly than an NHS GP.
Will my insurance cover the cost of private GP appointments?
Some private health insurance covers private GP appointments especially if it is needed for medical reasons.
