What Is a Hydrafacial?

The Hydrafacial was initially developed in the early 2000s by the US aesthetic device manufacturer Edge Systems Corporation. The treatment rapidly trended in dermatology and aesthetic clinics due to its innovative delivery technique and capability to merge multiple facial procedures in a single session. Its popularity was due to being able to address several skin concerns with a non-invasive platform that combined deep cleansing treatment with a super hydrating, exfoliating and rejuvenating one.

 

Hydrafacial uses a patented Vortex-Fusion delivery system. This method cleans the skin from impurities while feeding the pores with serums. Unlike a typical facial where extractions can be done manually or broken out in of cleanse, extract, and hydrate, with Hydrafacial all this happens at once with a device that looks like a pen.
